This issue publishes “A tale of Childhood” by Anastasia Afanasyeva, “Nostalgy” — a tale by Vladimir Berezin, “The Pink Houses” — a tale by Yevgeniya Dobrova, “The Stories of Solitude” by Yelena Dolgopyat, as well as “Absolute Use” — a tale by Nina Gorlanova and Vyacheslav Bukur. The poetry section of this issue is made up of the new poems by Anatoly Naiman, Inna Kabysh, Aleksandr Kabanov, Anna Nal and Andrey Grishayev.
The sectional offerings are as following:
Philosophy, History, Politics: “The Chinese Bike” — an article by Aleksandr Khramchikhin highlighting the paradoxes of contemporary China development.
The Heritage: Vyacheslav Polonsky’s (who was among the first “Novy Mir” editors-in-chief) journal (1920-1932) (continued).
Literary Critique: “The Inner Landscapes by Oleg Chukhontsev”— an article by Vladimir Kozlov discussing the creative development of one of the most remarkable poets of our time.
