This issue publishes “The Canvas”, a novel by Oleg Yermakov, “On the Day of Yellow Fog”, a tale by Natalya Smirnova, as well as stories by Aleksander Karasyov and by Lyudmila Ulitskaya. The poetry section of this issue is made up of the new poems by Yelena Ushakova, Irina Yevsa, Yuliya Kunina and Galina Nerpina.
The sectional offerings are as follows:
Times and Morals: “At One’s Home”, an essay by the linguist Revecka Frumkina highlighting the way the new generation of Russian middle class organizes its life and quarters.
Essais: “Neznayka”, an essay by Anton Raykov highlighting the personage of the popular children’s trilogy by Nikolay Nosov.
Literary Critique: a selection of materials “Tsvetayeva in the Light of New Publications”. Articles: “On the Love of Pedestrians” by Lilya Pann, “A Cross not Kissed” by Margarita Dukhanina, and “The Son of the Poet” by Irina Belyakova.
