Poetry section of “DN” for the first time presents MIKHAIL GROZOVSKIJ – well known as “childrens’ poet” on whose verses our children and grandchildren have been growing up – as the author of mature, sharp-sighted, retaining in memory lyrics.
DENIS BUGULOV. German. A long short story.
The life of the protagonist seems to be a success: the work which he likes, brilliant career, women’s attention. Nevertheless… Nevertheless the name of the nart (narts are divine beings, heroes of the Ossetic epos) Ustardji is mentioned in the story though in passing but not at all by chance. Having been stuck in pettiness and vanity, are you – descendants of Great Narts – living as have been prescribed?
ANDREY BELOZEROV. The Third Force.
What is left in our memory from the “pre-Dnesrt war” in which heated meetings were alternating with battles looking – if seen from aside – like bright shows? As Alexander Tkachenko has once told in his poem: real life sometimes looks like tactical exercise – they are fighting in jest but are dying in earnest.
YOURIJ VALLA. Shall I Someday Be Able to Return to the Beginning of the Way?
Yourij Valla – poet, prosaist and reindeer-breeder – is meditating on the World and Man, on animals and birds, on his people and the alliance of all peoples through the Word, on the tundra natives and the pioneers of the oil industry who are destroying the Nature for the sake of the momentary profit.
