ALEXANDER DZUMAEV. Culture and Islam in Central Asia.
In Central Asia two types of culture: traditional, based on religious ideology and disposition, and secular, based on synthesis of Russian-European and local national cultural values, came in opposition in the first half of the XX century. The author tries to trace back and interpret the development and meaning of this opposition up to now and to peep in the future.
